Trending @Capgemini; Is a Transfer mandatory while relocating for a project?
For my new project it requires me to relocate so that I can continue WFO from odc. Unfortunately, in my current location there's no odc. As, I have been on the bench since joining in Dec 2024, I cannot refuse any more project opportunities, I have accepted it. But little did they mention if I need a base location transfer also? I don't want to transfer that as in future I want to come back to my city. Is there any way to avoid the possibility of transfer?

It totally depends on your manager. Try to put up a case of your dependent mother or very young baby. If managers approves then no one will have any issue

Yes please refer to the transfer policy and ask for allowances as per company policy like settling allowance 7 days accommodation nd all , I also relocating to banglore from noida for FS

Hi, can you help me get the policy document? Did you get reimbursement?

Please note if they are transferring you to a location which is different from what is mentioned on your offer letter, you are eligible for relocation expenses.
Do check the policy.

Hi, but what they are telling is "if relocation is not added in your offer letter then we can not provide you the relocation/that you have to check with your new account if they can reimburse". But they didn't ask for relocation during offer/joining. So, it is just a case of possibility mentioned in OL. My joining and base location is Kolkata. Now if I am not getting project in Kolkata, and new project require a relocation, shouldn't that include a reimbursement? I am asking for the guidelines, but they are simply ignoring. What should I do?
