Trending @Capgemini; Instead of base location can we punchin from other location office?
I'm in Pune and my base location is Mumbai so for few days like 5-6 days can I report from Pune office? Is it needed to notify my N+1 or can I direct report there?
Note: I'm on bench
You can't directly go to another location office. Just request and take approval from your N+1 and forward that mail to ID cell.
Although my official base location is Pune, I have been working from the Bangalore office for the past four years. Ultimately, it depends on your manager.
So it must be clients requirement due to which you are working from there, Right?
But currently I'm on bench and to complete 12 days that's why I'm looking if I can work from Pune office for few days
So what are the chances if without approval I punchin from other location will my N+1 get to know from which location I'm punchin? What actions can be taken without informing if we punchin through other location?
First of all it comes on access part of you have already access then speak to your manager f je is fine then it is ok. If you tried swiping your card without having access it might take you an escalation then you have to provide them the reason there everyone will say we don't approve this.
I will suggest first try to get access showing your manager approval then you can swipe
My base location is Pune. And my hometown is Gandhinagar. I just went to the Gandhinagar office and I was able to enter the premises without any specific approval. I am not sure about the bench. If there is any specific rule for it.
I guess location centric tagging is enforced when you’re on bench. I say this because when I had just joined, I tried tagging in from a different location and the alarm started ringing, which also ended up in me being denied entry. But once I got into a project, I requested to report from an office in a different city. I just got a verbal confirmation and I was able to swipe in from a different location. I didn’t raise any request and I’m sure my manager didn’t do anything 😂
