I am a senior consultant and recently got mail that my new role as people manager and under me there are two people assigned.. Any idea what it could be just they have assigned two people under me to rate or am I getting any hike or promotion also

You will get some extra responsibilities that's all, this is like pre training before going to C grade, I think those people are on bench when they are allocated to project, they will change their n+1
