Damn that's bad and very inhumane. In my case atleast my supervisor is very understanding. Once my father had some medical issue and needed to be taken to the hospital, so my supervisor asked me to take the day off and said no need to apply for leave.

This is Pathetic. Just escalate the issue to higher level like director
