From May I am in a project which solely dependent on me like they didnt gve any KT or something nd just place me in this project. 5 month project nd no help from team and no other developer and all onsite nd client are there in that project. I feel like Im gonna lose my job becuase Im not able to complete task alone.
I had a similar experience when I joined Capgemini as a lateral hire in December. I was mapped to a completely different project that didn't align with the skill set I was hired for. The work environment was extremely toxic—there was no proper knowledge transfer, no support from colleagues, and the team carried an unwelcoming attitude, behaving as if they solely owned the project. Due to this, I decided to resign last week
I also experience exact same situation, I also joined here as lateral b2 grade once joined after 2 months got project , but this is different skill set complete support I have to accept at that time because bench period is increasing so I did, after joined came to know that this place is toxic and no support or kt from seniors so instead of asking immediate release waited 11 months in CG/ 9 months as billable in project and now asked project release , manager agreed to release by next month. that's what happend till now, not sure how gonna be coming days , y u didn't ask project release instead putting papers directly ?
Discuss with your manager, ask team members, manager for documentation SharePoint links. Focus and study the project first. Team bonding is important factor
Dven I joined as a lateral hire. Within a week I’ve been assigned on project which was developed by another vendor. Once I joined the project I got to know that there won’t be any KT and I have to analyse the existing too complicated code and incorporate the changes and new features additions as well. I raised the concern of no KT. Then they suspected my technical ability and forced me to work on the project even though I asked for a release just couple of day aster joining it. This is pathetic behaviour of management and their expectations. Don’t knowing what’s gonna happen in near future. I’m just continuing with the work dedicating extra hours. Probably might resign if I don’t feel comfortable here.
