Trending @Capgemini; Early Release from the Project

Hi Guys,

It’s been 15 months I am working in my current project. I started having health issues since they changed my shift to core night/graveyard. From November I have taken many sick leaves, early logouts because of my health. I spoke to my Supervisor regarding shift change but she is not understanding my condition and asking to continue in same shift 11:30-8:30 am. My People Manager is different and he never contacted me. Shall I contact my People Manager or Shall I connect with HR regarding this?

Please advice me as I am facing lot of health issues because of this shift and also there is no growth in this project. Is it better to leave CG or try to get release from current project and look for different project?

directly talk with your N+2 and HR. Even if they don't come up a solution put up a mail with N,N+1,N+2 and put your issues in that mail and ask for the solution in this case from them only. They will have to take some action then. Even nothing happens put a mail asking for a release from this project and take a long leave . They won't do anything from their side if you would be working good and complaining about it.

So it's better to be frank and upfront on these kind of issues . Evrything is in your head that what would happen if i say this or that. For them you are just as resource and they have plentiful to replace you.

So show some strength and fight for it.

If nothing still falls in your place resign is the last option.

Thanks a lot for the guidance. I was planning to quit but then I saw my colleagues getting into projects with permanent day shifts so I thought to try for a release first before putting down my papers.
