Trending @Capgemini; DevOps Project Allocation, Joined in c2 grade in Capgemini

Hi everyone,

I'm a DevOps engineer and recently(7th July 2025) joined Capgemini in C2 grade. During my offer and onboarding, I was informed by HR that I was being hired for a specific project. However, a new HR representative has now informed me that I will be tagged to the Resource Management Group (RMG) instead. This change has raised a few questions for me, and I'd appreciate any insights or advice from those with similar experiences or knowledge of company policies. Specifically, I'm wondering:

DevOps Project Opportunities in Capgemini : Are there typically a good number of project calls for DevOps engineers within CG. I'm keen to understand the general availability of relevant projects.

Bench Policy - Duration: How long is the company generally comfortable with employees being on the bench? I'm proactive and want to ensure I'm utilized effectively, so understanding the typical bench period would be helpful.

Mandatory Office Hours: Is it mandatory to stay in the office for 6 hours daily, even when on the bench?

Any suggestions or information regarding these points would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to understand the situation better and plan my next steps effectively.

Thanks in advance for your help!

DevOps Project Opportunities in Capgemini : yes there are enough DevOps projects under CCA BU. Bench Policy - Duration : keeping in mind your grade. You are good for 3 months. After that they will force you to get into any project. Mandatory Office Hours: yes, you should stay it office for atleast 6 hours. Its mandatory on bench. In projects, they don't really care.
