If all your project's team members are not in your base location, and even one of them is working from your nearest location, then you can go to nearest location.

No matter what anyone says, for now where you need to report entirely depends on you project manager. Make a good rapport with him and your N+1 then request them to allow working from nearest office. That's what I did and it worked like a charm. Now my base location itself is in the process of changing to the nearest one.
