Trending @Capgemini; Concern about working from home without official intimation
Hi all,
I joined Capgemini on 16th October and recently got assigned to a project. I’ve gone to the office only twice (for induction and to collect my laptop & ID card). My manager is in another location, so I’ve been working from home since then.
I noticed that my TIO (Time in Office) report shows 0. I've been submitting my timesheets regularly and they’re getting approved without any issues.
Will this cause any problem in payroll or lead to any disciplinary action? Also, could there be any issues in appraisal because of this? My office is quite far (around 3 hours one way), so I’ve been working remotely for now.
Would really appreciate some clarity on how TIO impacts payroll or attendance in this case.
Thanks in advance!

You will be in big trouble my friend.
I don't understand why people do this. There is something called compliance. Why the hell are you guys built like this? If you can't come to the office why did you join Capgemini? You could have joined some other company near your house. If there is a rule then obey it or be ready for termination.

Resources get termination mail when they fail to come to the office , One of my friend told, his team lead is not completing 12 days a month got terminated after failed to give a valid reason for BTO. So better complete 12 days a month.
Short answer, YES.
Not compiling with BTO policy will surely lead to trouble down the line. It's one of the factor for appraisal as well. You don't even have any excuse here for not complying.
Not reporting because you're living 3hrs away from office is not an excuse. There are people who have relocate to a new state just to be compliant with the policy and there are local people that I know who live VERY FAR from office but always complete their 12 days. So it would be better for you if you start complying with the policy. Even if you're not able to do 12 days, try to do 10 days atleast.
Also, submitting timesheets and TIO are two different things. Timesheets are supposed to be submitted in advance so hence they are getting approved. Btw, is your manager aware that you're note reporting to office?

Oh okay. No, my manager is not aware of it.
