Trending @Capgemini; Can i take wfh totally instead of variable pay can i ask hr regarding this. can i give any medical proofs. As i am unable to adjust in city.
To add - I live in Pune and my office is in Chennai. I even travel sometimes and work on the go. It's all how you manage it.
Travel sometimes means? Did your project allowed to do totally wfh or you are doing 12 days office? If u are going to ofc randomly without any manager approval is there no escalations happened?
Sometimes means 3 to 4 days in couple of months.
I only visit when there is townhall or monthly meeting with my managers.
For us it's mandatory to do 2 days office per week ( this is at clients office) . Capgemini doesn't care.
But in the past two years I have gone to office only for around 40 to 50 days.
Every 2 to 3 months in monthly meetings my manager warns people who don't regularly come to office but there is no escalation. But because company like TCS , KPIT , Capgemini have changed wfh rules. Stellantis ( my client) is forced to to it eventually. It is what they say they will make it strict. But it hasn't happened since I have joined so I don't care. I will keep doing it until there is some escalation.
Recently they have asked me to visit office with a warning. So I will go and show my face. And keep doing it again until next warning.
I believe going to office is waste of time because anyways our meetings are help online because of being a global team.
That's my story. I am happy with this. 50 days a year office works for me. I have already started going less recently. Next target is maybe 25 days only ðŸ¤

Hybrid is introduce to work with team have collaboration.
But here nothing is there
Yes it depends on client. For me I am almost work from home. I only visit office for quarterly meetings and town halls. Ask you client manager if they permit it will be possible. Or directly start WFH. See if there is any escalation.
You can ask for relocation by surrender your current laptop
