Hi, I have a work exp of 2.10 years in core BI. In my current project I was supporting the Tableau (BI) reports. Next month my project is about to get over as they decommissioned Tableau. The whole team tagging request end date is 28 Feb 25 but mine is 31 dec 25. When I asked them they mentioned that they will ask the business management and then will let me know why this happened. Next month I have scheduled some interview for BA and even for tableau developers role within the organisation for some other project.
I am confused about which options I should choose, a BA or a Tableau developer. If I stay in the same project then they will give me some support roles again but in some other BI applications.
Ps : I want to work in cloud technology as I have the relevant skill set but didn't get any opportunity on that.
You should definitely go for the BA role. Tableau is outdated and not worth your time. BA roles have more growth and respect. Forget about support roles, they are dead ends. Focus on cloud tech later, BA is your best bet now.
