Trending @Capgemini; Bench period more than 1.5 year
Hello everyone, please help me I am stuck in a big problem. i joined Capgemini on 22 dec 2022 now its almost 1.5 year + and I'm on bench and still not getting any project my domain is dotnet and now if i try to switch the company then how can i , I skill up myself on bench period on reactjs , JavaScript, dotnet but still there no experience on real world project so now I wasted my whole 1.5 year and my manager is not replying to me he always said there is no project there is no project now what will i do !!???? please help

If you have completed your 2 years bond period, and if you have really skilled up in the mentioned tech Apply elsewhere and move elsewhere man If they don't have a project, it means you have no work here

i have skill but when i apply to other company they said do you have hand on experience then what will i say they will ask about my project and there is no hands on experience i have i am stuck ..... 😢

You don't have to be on a company project to leverage ur skills
If you know js, react js, why don't you work on your own project
In the cg wala training I'm pretty sure they made you work on a project.
Use a bit of Java, html, css, sql, and put in your strength skills and voila you have a working website, there must be your friends who are good with backend tech on the bench aswell, all of you join hands with DBMS guy
You can create another Facebook or Apple
Opportunities are there everywhere man, you just have to create it and make use of it
Instead of sitting and crying ur on bench for 2 years, you could have used your time to do something meaningful
Instead of sulking on grapevine you don't have a project in hand u could reach out to the staffing partners, or manager or any one in the office asking for help you would have reached somewhere by now
Teams toh allows you to search anyone with their designation, with the wfo policy just show upto office talk to a seniorly person asking for help, or there's LinkedIn you will all our fellow people there, connect send a message
If your manager doesn't have a project for you, there'll be his manager who could help you, or there will be another manager in the company who's team will require someone
I'm not scolding you or anything, just think about it
And if your so scared to apply for a new job and they'll ask ur hand on xp, just read their JD and create ur resume accordingly, in the interview just convince them that they gv u work you'll do it now matter what
And if ur applying read the JD and apply according to your skillset
Life is simple, don't overly complicate it

Keep your GTD Whoz Profile up to date and make sure it is verified by your supervisor. Try to ping RMG once a month. Reach out to managers in your domain and ask for shadow or billable opportunities.

my manager not even responding to my teams msg and also not telling me who is my rmg . i have updated my whoz profile 3 times but he is not approving it and when i asked about project he clearly said there is no project ... now what i do ?

Now what is whoz profile, and where do we update this?

Post your resume in Capgemini Yammer site and ask for help. Also apply IJP all the best

what is IJP ???

Internal Job posting, if I'm not wrong. But usually Bench resources are excluded in the IJP. (I don't know, I'm just conveying the information from job posting mails)
To switch your domain within CG you should have 1.5 years exp and bench resources are excluded.

Im in a project and havent learnt anything
Find a senior in the domain in which you want to work
Request him to explain that project
Build the skill and resign

that's the problem I don't know anyone na do you know any senior that have dotnet or react project experience... please help

Given your situation, I recommend focusing on building a strong portfolio through personal or open-source projects to showcase your skills in React.js, JavaScript, and .NET. Consider obtaining certifications to strengthen your resume and actively network with professionals in the industry, as this can lead to new opportunities. If things don't improve at Capgemini, explore new job opportunities confidently, emphasizing the skills and projects you've worked on during your bench period. Remember, your dedication to learning and growing during this time is valuable, so stay positive and don't lose hope—opportunities will come your way.

hey bro it clearly depends on connections not merits be ause its a nexus and they didnt care any one but if you are in bench utilize let them fire and they will give 3 mnt payout and take a new one good luck

Me to in same situation from 2 years . But now I am waiting for better opportunity so I am brushing up myself. Whenever I get the opportunity I'll leave from here. Wasted 2 years here.
