I have been reporting from the Pune office for the last one year but my base location is Mumbai, what reason should I give to my manager so that he proceeded to change the location, my project ODC is in Mumbai but living there is more costlier than Pune, pls help.
Transfer is very easy I got it from hyd to Noida

First you need to connect to your manager , ask him that I want to talk to you or send him mail directly. Then for sure they will tell you that we cannot give you this location and all. Tell him a valid reason , like my marriage, my family member is well. But it should be valid and strong.
Instantly they will take approval from higher management.its their responsibility
Ig Medical reason will be most impactful but for that u should have documents to show then u can build story around that
Say that you have health issues so need to stay with family in Pune to have healthy food
You can mention like ki family members is also living in pune and paying rent at 2 different places is difficult, change my location to pune and need fresh food rather than old cooked food like that mention and these days many people are able to change their location
Within the same state it's easy just tell the above reason to your program manager that living there will be costly for u.
As far as I know, only 2 reasons are given importance from company front and even this helps in case for early relieving. Medical and Higher Studies. For medical you need strong documentation. Another thing that you can try is take admission in any relevant course from nearby colleges. Pay just admission fee and get the documents from college and show it to your N+1.
Again, all depends on you manager or superior to consider your base location change request.
Mention you need to take care of parents who are sick.
Base location change required atleast 1 year 8 months. If there is no ODC allocated for your project in Pune then they can call you to move Mumbai.
