You can apply exception post your leave days citing health issue

I raised exception but it was rejected by HR she told me to use leave balance for the week. But I was thinking it's just one week why so much fuss.

No one week is fine , for consecutive weeks if you don’t go then there is a problem , you need to explain to HR the reason
