Trending @Accenture; Will they fck me up for not RTO
I haven’t been to office since they told us to do so! Got 2 warning mails.
Why should I go to the office? I have no colleagues there, all my teammates are from other cities. Travelling to office takes 1.5-2 hours one way! :(
I will travel 3 hours a day to sit in alone in office, eat alone and leave! What should I do?
They will not do anything, they will generate the attendance report from Dec to May and will mark you as non Compliant as per the new Policy and that will result in Either Hike/Variable Pay cut or Termination of the Employee. Remember it’s very hard to make an employee leave the organisation but if someone had created a new Policy to ensure that somehow he we get a reason to do what Management decides, it becomes much easier for them as they now have reasons to be by Books, also you have to understand we are not working in a environment like US or UK where practical & logical solutions are considered but we work in a environment where they make rules to punish and if are non compliant by any chance them the work you do for Accenture, there are 3 Ram, Shyam, Bunty available to do the same in half of the amount you get from Accenture. We are all trapped under their egoistic image and exploitation of the workforce.
I travel 7 hours up and down by taxi and paying 4000 every week for taxi. My salary is not so great as well.
All of my project team members are either in Bangalore or Pune and I am part of implementation project.

Policy is policy, and yes they can take any decision if there is a violation of policy. Travel time is not an excuse at all as you should be residing in your base location only.
These all concerns become famous in last 3-4 years, before that every one is ready to go to any corner of the country to get the Job.
There was 5 days working from office culture, why to complain now
Before 3-4 yrs majority of Indians IT professionals didn’t imagined that the work could be done from home too, but we are doing it from 5 yrs now we have settled with this way if working and do not want to change. Problem is managers and SMs think that their relevance gas got reduced a lot due to less catukarita now. Hence a sense of insecurity and then booom….policy policy MKB
I travel via train and for one side it takes 4 hrs because of Vande Bharat. Imo, you will become non-compliant and give you the reason to put you in PIP and hence layoff, even if you go nothing miracle happens, they will do what they have planned for you already. Just do everything as per your convenience and upfront inform your PL about the same if you have good terms or else let it be like this and wait for the consequences and then act accordingly.....
