Trending @Accenture; Will PIP hit hard?

Please tell me who ever knows anything about the following situation.

The thing is right now am in proj A which has told me a few weeks back that i will be rolled off from the project A within a few months...in the mean time i cracked an interview of proj B which has onboarded me to their proj and will start its training from next week. Now all of the sudden proj A is telling me to undergo PIP. Now please tell me as i am going to join new proj, so do i need to undergo this PIP of proj A?
