Trending @Accenture; Will current cycle PIP target effect good people?

My friend is a fresher (13 months in ACN) in technology at L10. He asked me query out of fear. He has good feedback from PL and PMO both but due to project financials he was rolled off (1sept) and sent to another project under same leader. PL said to him as he has good feedback and they don't want to lose you hence they putting you in other project under same leader.

This all seems nice but he also knows other L10 in his project team were obviousbly more experienced and skilled, my friend is still in learning phase it was his first project in company.

PMO appreciates his learning spirit, but if they had to choose 1 CL10 FROM team to let go. He may become easy target. Is it possible? OR can we rule out this fear?? (PS- there are absolutely 0 negative feedbacks).
