Trending @Accenture; Why did Accenture move promotions to June?

Promotion in December (Old Cycle):

Previously, employees promoted in December could expect a salary hike the following December, keeping a 1 year gap between promotion and raise.

Promotion in June (New Cycle):

Now, with June promotions, employees won’t get a raise in the same year’s December since they were just promoted. With no mid-year hike in June, the wait until the next December extends to minimum 1.5 years between promotion and the next raise.

Its just a gimmick and they are saying they will get more visibility on clients plan and budget by shifting promotion cycles to june. What a Nonsense. Literally humiliating all the employees in Accenture.
