These so called HR who are actually the most useless employees any company have. They will not approve more than 15 days that 15 days also they will ask oh write mail to this this guy or will ask several questions like why? So I would suggest just accept that 15 days which is 2 week and 1 week no one will question or mind, so 20,21 days is enough to celebrate with family.

If you're going regularly to office, just skip for a week it's fine no one questions it.
