I am really confused of the role a TL should play.
Is it sse se ase job to get the issues fixed and tl will assign and manage the task? My TL is technically skilled butno functional knowledge and he ask my help for analysis and assign everything to me.
I am really frustrated...am i wrong here..the sse who has same experience as me in the current project ask me to spoon feed.
My manager ask me to take kt for new tasks and help other sse se ase and yet no hike no benefits
I am stuck because I hv only SQL knowledge and I am frustrated and depressed
yes, many projects at Accenture, TL task is to majorly manage task and help SSE if they are stuck with some development and need help, They mostly aren't into development that much. They would be into calls with manager and provide updates on key metrics and how the development or tasks are going. Major pressure has to be handled by SSE, they do development and need to help SE and ASE when stuck. Also know that if there are any delays in development or any major issues, TL is answerable to management, hence he would majorly manage the team to make sure the development are completed before time. Other things include stand for team when functional issues are treated as development defects. I have multiple times fought for my team when functional haven't provided correct data and requirement and the issues were treated as development defects. So he has to guard the team in front of managers so his Growth is not affected
Here TL doesn't necessarily stand for Team Lead as in Level 9, It could be a Level 8 Associate Manager if he is leading team and a Level 9 Team Lead may then take role of SSE.
I don't understand.. because I have 9 year's of experience and I have seen diff tls from Accenture and they taking responsibility on technical side and helping others... didn't knw that tl is for managing and helping out when stuck
