Trending @Accenture; What's the one thing you wish you'd been told before you joined Accenture?

I wish someone had explained me the operating model of the Strategy and Consulting team. There is not an iota of S&C work they actually do. It's just plain stupid stage show. Coming from a big 4 like Deloitte it was a huge downgrade for me in terms of quality of work and learning opportunities. Pay is good though.

For me: I think just knowing how lonely it could get through covid... Throughout WFH, doing tasks from morning to night without having much interaction with my team and unfortunately living alone. Those were the darkest days.
Hindsight, I wish I'd moved back to my hometown in advance

In an ideal world, would have appreciated being warned about which specific Managers are nonsupportive/biased/unreasonable/lackknowledge and which are actually good managers!! would have chosen projects accordingly

@majesty yeah, we should maintain a list here about the best managers so that people know (and to avoid making a list of the worst managers cuz that can be offensive)

one thing i wish i wasnt told is that promotion will happen automatically in a year 😞

One thing i wish i was told is that i won't be getting any damn leaves. Accenture is a pathetic company tbh
