Trending @Accenture; What to do if my People Lead is more interested in my personal life? I told her/him couple of times it’s non of his business. But still!!!!

Lead will try to play with your emotions by gathering your personal details and play Dirty politics for their benefits. So always be careful by keeping .A advice better keep one sims for work and other for personal which you should not share .

That’s a good recommendation!

Perhaps you could elaborate on some conversation and the context leading to such questions . There was one instance where I was asked by my lead to convince a resource who was trained in Java to contribute to the C# project . I had to keep the conversation casual and something like a pep talk instead of what it actually was . I remember asking the guy about his college , university , his career aspirations etc before opening up the subject to him . But did not try too much brainwashing as an unmotivated resource was the last thing our project needed . I have had seniors if I have kids or if I am married earlier in my career while switching to a new project ( married but no kids ) . . Has your lead ever seen you in person to warrant these suspicions ? We have been working remote or in hybrid mode for quite some time and it might be some small talk for team engagement . . There are some people who gather some details for innocent and not so innocent reasons ( I would suspect reason to be professional like getting you into a project which doesn't exactly align with your learning or career aspirations , something which doesn't add much value to your resume ) . I would suggest that you consider all these factors before flagging something as inappropriate . Men and even women ( female here BTW ) would be reluctant to mentor someone who is scrutinising every random conversation for ' signs ' of something suspicious or threatening .
Sometimes , there can be a simpler explanation
