Trending @Accenture; What Tf is going on!?
In project. No work, No benifits, No shift allowance for ASEs, 5 day WFO for ASEs, Should work hard to be billable itseems (No work), Some additional absolutely useless training, Team lead with absolutely 0 tech knowledge, It's been long time already without work.. How long do I upskill without seeing prod code? I'm genuinely scared... Grinding in Dev and DSA.
Do we need to payback the joining bonus if we leave before 1yr?

- You are in a project, many ASE's are still in bench.
- Upskilling is never a waste, it will come in handy in future.
- I assume you have not yet completed 1 year, do you think that service based companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro give a dev project and assign them to freshers? Hell no. Many ppl who joined as freshers will be shadow resources after few months they'll get some small tasks and eventually user stories.
But people who got tagged along with me got started with their work already. KTs are going on.
Still.. they say 5 day WFO is mandatory.
What do I do going to office?
Restricted bay and restricted laptop.
VScode won't open.
Cannot make notes if I learn something (cannot create or save a file in laptop)
Cannot bring physical books to make notes.
I agree on the 2nd point 100000%.
But not the first point. I utilized my bench perfectly.
I grinded a lot of DSA and upskilled a lot on dev
I had this flexibility in bench
Now I don't.
I'm trying to switch asap...
Is it mandatory to payback the joining bonus before 1yr? Or do I wait for another 2-4 months to complete my 1yr and then give my notice? Most startups I apply rn are asking immediate joining.

Go to any senior engineer in your team ask him how can I help you? Assign me few of your tasks he or she will surely give you work just try to do work by yourself don't ping them every minute
Even if they don't ask I always try to assign them something to keep them busy and learn something new... But ASEs panic a lot.. Before even trying they just hope we should help them completely for the task.
Yes.. doing that... Saw the code base recently.. asked them to explain what the actual product was.. what will I be working if they actually start giving me tickets and all.. the devs part of the team are extremely helpful...because they understand that one doesn't waste their prime time staying workless. Problems are with HRs and non tech guys.... Thankyou for the advice.

Leave Accenture asap
