1. Anonymous is just an attractive feature to lure people. If the app or people in it wants to sell data, that would be a whole different story.
2. Yes we can change our name any number of times anytime, but depending on the level of information you're sharing/ ranting about if your colleagues in this app find those relatable then you're not anonymizer anymore. Let's you're a developer and posting your frustration and complaining about your management, if your lead/manager in this app saw that post and finds it relatable then ...
