I got 7.3 % varibale pay. I thought 8.5 was minimum... should I speak with people lead?

No, there was no such cap as minimum. I also got approx 7.9. People have got in range of 5, also many didn't even get.

Fixed pay. But further it depends on few factors. Let me explain. Lets say your fixed is 10 lpa and your variable pay(VP) is 7%. This doesnot mean you will get ₹70,000. If your UT% for that VP cycle is 80%, then you will get 80% of ₹70,000.
