I recently joined a project where work environment is extremely toxic. I my experience of 8 years I have never encounter such manager. Manager is really loud , rude , sarcastic and provocative over standups & calls. He’s openly shouting at people and passing on slangs in standup calls. Project management is micro managing project. They are declared that working hours are 12 PM - 10 PM ( 9hrs works + 30 minutes lunch + 30 minutes dinner ). You have to put all the status before leaving your desk even if you are away for 5 minutes. If they see you away with a status message, they will ring you up or your TL to ask your status. I don’t know how to raise or whom to raise this concern to. There is no use of complete about manager as he’s been working in Accenture from past 15 years and he has all the connections. Let me know your suggestions.

Raise it to HR

It doesn’t matter whom you raise this concern to . He has connections at higher level and he has gotten out of earlier as well. Many people have left project because of his behaviour.
Also do you think this 12-10 thing is right !

9 hours , thats it

Under perform and ask for roll off, work only for 9 hours, send updates over mail before log off . Inform them you can not extend and if it does not work for them then roll off

This thing is common in Accenture. If you see, these people are in Accenture from 15-20 years(their first job). They are frustrated from the people who has joined recently and got good package. Lets not get angry in them and feel pitty on them.

If your hr is good fine , but don't expect , yeah my project hasn't done that status part , but everyday we have to open our camera work 12 hrs unofficially ( we can't complete work),unofficially i work Saturday and Sunday , even when i went to hr about this issue it came to me as can't realese 12 hrs is normal , people are working 18 hrs ......... so no outcome of fighting

This is toxic leave asap

Same situation in my current project. Immediate AM scolding in front of 4 -5 people, one fine day with courage i raised to my HR and his lead HR giving evidences as well. The case is with ER department. Dont know the consequences but i felt good !!

Yes I agree Accenture work culture is like this , I also have encountered few people passing slangs and being very rude .
