How to handle a manager who's always micro managing?. Even watching teams status and whenever a person goes away (30mins) ping them in person or in group so that person comes in available status for different reasons. Irrespective of work load this is happening quite sometime. Everyday goes in a panic mode like when this person will msg or ask for a call. And have to extend everyday even if I have worked for 9.5hrs still it's not enough.Literally mental peace is 0 now. Am not getting paid as per current market but I still love my work. But because of this kind of behaviour I feel really uncomfortable. How to overcome such situations. I don't feel it's helpful in a long run especially for myself atleast. My personal life and weekend modes also getting spoiled because of such kind of behaviour.

The best way to deal with these kinds of things is to create a group on teams chat click on meet now and join the meeting and change the status to available or busy and that status will change even if you are away

This is good. But don't we have freedom to go away or offline?. We are working for a corporate not in a start-up right? People having 10+ yrs of experience and very professional doing such things feels really stressful and uncomfortable.

You need to think of things to tackle these kinds of situations nothing can be done those managers never change

Ignore them, at max they'll roll off from the project, if you're good(skilled) you'll be fine.

It's easy to handle, I had once faced one such manager, he wanted a reason for going away.
I started putting messages in group chat that, I am going for pee/poop every hours.
He called me after tolerating 2 days, that don't mention why you are going away for less than a 30 min break.
If someone is shameless you need to respond shamelessly only, you can't be polite to a shameless person.

That's a good way to deal with such kind of person. In my case they will check with my team mate about my absence or away status as if they are in search of me for more than hours

If you have worked 18 months in the same assignment you can ask release. Just saying

Yes, I have planned to ask for release but it will take another 1 yr to get released

Even I am facing the same issue here in my project. The environment is so toxic. The leads are always demotivating. Never encourages others . Doesnt likes others to move their career.

Then what's your plan for the upcoming days or for your future?

Even I am facing the same...my managers attitude is if you don't bring much work to my project I dont care her employees shd hv patience to tolerate her scolding..I am an ace Award winner two times in last 8 months and they micromanage me ..ask me to extend even thgh we hv orher shift ppl..even i dont hv peace in my life.. always heavy feeling on my chest crying praying nthng works I can't even njy with my family...it's nt my first project bt this is the worst project i hv ever worked...I am stuck...

OMG... It's really scary to hear. Why are you still in that project or in that team? Even am also not able to sleep peacefully. If I woke up then my mind automatically things like what's going to happen today.

They won't give rolof easily

You will come across these kinds of bullshit maroons everywhere.... Just do not take this into the mind, keep ignoring them one fine day everything will be fine... But ensure you practice much by facing them, do not run away... Definitely you will see change brother trust me

I have a simple script which will not make you away. Run it everytime you start your laptop. Let me know if anyone need it, will give it tomorrow

But this idiotic manager will randomly come for a call

Ask for another team in the project, or if not that, ask for roll-off
