Manager called me at night 9pm yesterday .I was worried a bit and gave a ring back , on enquiring the reason I was asked to pick a IP candidate. I seriously don't have a single resource who can be mapped to a IP. Don't know where it will go. Also got a intimation that if not they will put me in a call with Senior manager to choose one from our pool. I and other lead have a list of 10 people under me.
After 2 years of hardwork and no hike, still they need people under IP. I am in a critical situation as all my reportees are from offshore and each person work in a small team with onshore . If one of them is given IP, project definitely takes a hit
Note : Also I heard that this year there will be mimimum promotions and more people will be mapped under CTGL. TP is still in the air and only 1 or 2 will be given DA.
Also my reportee ASE to SE promotion was around 23% when I released statement. So I assume other who are getting promoted will also be in the same average bracket range. It also depends on the skill , hot skills or demand skills as well. Will have to wait and see.

My manager was in same situation, de denied giving any names. As all the resources were performing good. Here comes your role, you have to defend your resources. If there isn’t any tell them directly also you could additionally say, if you are forcing, 1st thing i do not have any still if you put any name, i wont be able to provide any proofs as all the tasks were delivered on time. I will unanswerable to resource.

Sad to hear this but is it possible to discuss further on PIP with higher management and let them know that any PIP may lead to resignation of employees?
