In the last promotion cycle on December 24, my lead and manager told me that I may not get a promotion, but I would receive a better hike than usual. Can we usually trust such words, and how much hike can one expect in this case? I would be grateful for any insights.
Nope.. all assurances account for nothing.
I was assured by BU lead that I would be given hike, but now I am being told, there would be no hikes, only critical essential resources would be given some hike, but that too in single digits.
He further told, the scenario would pretty much be the same even in the coming december cycle, so better not keep any hopes.
Oh this is unfair!!. I have 4.5 years of experience and have recently taken on more responsibilities as a critical resource. Last time, I received less than a 20% hike, so I was hoping for a higher increase this time—more than 20%. Does this expectation seem reasonable, or am I being unrealistic?
They clearly informed me that I didn’t get the promotion, but they assured me they will try to offer something more than what is usually given with a promotion hike.understand it might be unrealistic, but I just want to know if there's a real possibility behind their assurance, or if it’s just a way to keep us holding on?
I was assured of a promotion thrice from 2023 till now, still didn't get even once 🤣🤣🤣
It depends on the genuinity of ur lead or manager.
