Trending @Accenture; Switch to Cloud architect

I currently work in the Security domain. About to hit my 1 year work anniversary.

I'll be on the bench next month after a 6month negotiation with my manager to roll me off.

I have completed Google Associate cloud Engineer. AWS solution architect associate Az 900

How can I get myself rolled to a cloud capability?

Because If I spend a month on the bench my manager will pressure me to take up a security project again. Can I simply say no to all future security projects and keep myself on bench? Is it safe?
