Trending @Accenture; Switch or Stay? CL 11, UX Designer

As a UX designer with over 3 years of experience at Accenture and 3-4 years of prior experience in web design, UI, and graphic design, I’m currently earning 7.5 LPA after my recent increment. However, I’m still at CL 11 since I joined and had to wait 2 years for this second increment. I've been told there might be a promotion or a better hike in June, as this year’s increment was lower due to market correction.

Given my background and current compensation, should I wait for the potential promotion/hike or start looking for opportunities elsewhere? Am I being paid fairly for my experience, and what should be the market-standard salary for someone in my position?

That's great! Consider switching for 14 or 15 lpa

I am hoping for 18LPA or 21LPA but 14-15LPA would also be fine for me. problem is that many companies wants to know the current CTC and based on that they decide. Another problem is 90 days notice. Many employers are can’t wait for that long.

Have u prepared your portfolio? Behance or personal website?

I am in the same boat, but I have 2 years experience at Accenture at lvl 11, I don’t have prior experience as I joined straight out of college, and I am earning the same as you with the recent increment. You should definitely consider switching, especially because u have more experience. For switching you can ask about 30% hike on 7.5lpa

Thank you. Yes, I have seen some folks in XD Design studio are in either in same level with me or even in a senior level without any prior experience. I feel this unfair. I am considering switching but before that I need to update my portfolio.

Updating Portfolio takes longer than the next increment cycle 😂

If you get an opportunity from outside then switch without second thought

Thank you. Looking for opportunity but stuck with 90 days notice period. Most companies are looking for those who can join immediately or within a month.

It seems the HR didn’t consider my previous as much. How much shall I ask for if I switch?

You're right, am updating my portfolio since a month. No idea how to add projects

You can add the projects you’ve worked in Accenture if that is allowed by the client or Accenture to share. Else you’ve to think of new ideas and spend 2-3 months on each personal project. Avoid e-commerce, food-delivery, cab service projects since many people are doing for it.
