Trending @Accenture; Staying back at Accenture

Hi guys, yesterday I informed my people lead that I want to resign as I have a good offer from another org and he asked me if I would like to stay back. Obviously, I said yes if the compensation is matched to what I’m being offered as I don’t have any issues apart from what I’m being compensated for.

A call has been arranged with him and the group lead to discuss the possibilities.

Has anyone faced this dilemma? How did you manage? And finally - did Accenture retain you with a counter offer?

If you have an offer with a decent hike, they will never match the offer. Don't accept the hopes and proposals, stay back only if they match the offer.

Either way, the deck belongs to you, play your best cards. Ni matters what's the outcome, you're not losing. Better to ask higher than what you've been offered outside. No matter how much hike it is. Better not to get attached with accenture vibes , be fully transactional. Good luck. 😌

Lol. Been there last week. They will never match what you are getting. I am a very critical resource in my project. To be honest, i am the only one in my the whole deployment looking into MM. Still they are OK to let me go because they will never compensate anything more than 30% hike. I got 110% hike on my fixed as what I am getting is already too low. The proposal he gave me is giving 13% hike and promotion.
I said No Thanks.

How much time did they take to circle back with the proposal? Did you resign simultaneously or waited for them to get back to you?

I stayed back but nothing wonder happened 😕 if you are getting good hike and joining good org then don't take it back

Do not ruin your career !

If they were really thinking about you they would have given it before the offer.

If they even match the offer, you already lose. You will be under pressure and moreover on this you will not be eligible for any VP or hike, unofficially!

Drop your papers and take back the resignation once you get the appraisal letter considering you want to continue with Accenture.

Even I dropped papers recently...I'm damn sure that they will not match your outside compensation...what they told me is they will try to give an equivalent hike in June...but it is a vague promise...and if you agree for that...they will ask you to sign a contract (sending an official email)... but the catch is they will not send you an official email for the same (like we will give xx% of hike on coming June)...So I personally feel it's a trap.

Don’t stay . It’s a sinking ship . Look at stock price . Leave while you can .

They not match more than 20%

Don’t get into the trap that we will give the hike/promotion in the next cycle. Only if they provide a confirmation email, revoke your resignation. I will still suggest you to move our of Accenture. I have never worked in such a toxic company with such an unplanned management.
