Trending @Accenture; Should I enroll in Scaler Academy?
Hi everyone, I am working on an SAP MM based project in Accenture. I talked with everyone who can help me to get a development role. But as I am an ASE so they all told me that you can't switch to the development role. I am worried about my career because I always wanted to go to the development side. But they gave me functional role.
So, now I was considering enrolling in the Scaler Academy Software Development Course to switch to a development career. So, i wanted to know about your views on this. Should I purchase the course or not which is worth almost 3.15 lakh ?

I have enrolled actually...so I think the course structure and teaching is good. If you are confident about yourself, then you can pursue it.

Big no. Don't join a scaler or upgrad or any other edtech company. They are the biggest scammers. One of my friend joined and now he's paying 7-8k emi every month. They have a good curriculum but you'll find it free on YouTube. They'll teach DSA for 6 months and during that time when you start learning the advanced part. If you need more time to understand the logic. You'll not get time since you'll be managing full time work here aswell. More over you should be very dedicated and should read to spend more than 5-6hrs daily for it. If you just want development, take some java and spring courses on udemy and make a couple of big projects. Tweek your resume as if you have dev experience and just switch. If you want to ace maang just follow striver and complete strivers DSA sheet.

Should I lie in my resume? Do companies cross check the roles and responsibilities of an employee from past employers ?

Brother, when there people can bluff rubbish on JD and the real work is just 10% of it. Why can't we lie. Try to frame as if you've used dev skills in your same project. Try to link and relate them.

Instead learn the tech stack make few awesome projects, they will get your job done; you can showcase them instead.

- Dont buy that course first thing.
- Learn the tech from yourself. I would say go for java dev with react frontend
- Lie in your resume. You will be lying about the work you did at accenture. That you worked as a java full stack developer.
- And you can also do grievance reporting or talk to your mentor first that it doesn’t align with your future aspirations and stuff.

I tried every possible way to change my current role. But they said we can't change the project because I'm an ASE.

Don't spend that much money bro, everything is available on the internet..6 months time they will take for DSA and System design that's too long.

Yeah, That's also the problem. I have decent knowledge in DSA, development as well. That's why I am confused.

I enrolled for Scaler they have awesome teaching but the dedication required to complete daily tasks is very challenging with a full time job is impossible.
If you are that dedicated you can enroll they have one of the best courses otherwise it's just a waste of money.

Thanks for the info

If you are passionate, you can go for it. Else you can stay here by upgrading your skills, you will get opportunities
