Trending @Accenture; Seeking Advice on Joining Letter Withdrawal After ACL Surgery
Hello everyone,
I recently encountered a challenging situation and need some advice. I received a joining letter from Accenture for the role of Application Developer, scheduled for 27th November. Unfortunately, I had an accident on 20th October, resulting in an ACL tear. Following my doctor’s advice, I wrote to Accenture on 31st October, requesting a postponement of my joining date due to my health condition. I shared details about my situation and my doctor’s recommendation to rest for three months.
They replied, mentioning that they would come back to me once they had an update. Meanwhile, on 18th November, I underwent surgery for my ACL tear. I’ve been on bed rest since then, focusing on recovery.
However, five days ago, I received an email from Accenture stating that they’ve withdrawn my offer because I supposedly have no interest in the role. This came as a complete shock since I’ve been transparent about my situation and never expressed disinterest in the position. I have all the necessary medical documents to prove my surgery and recovery timeline.
Does anyone have experience dealing with such situations? Whom should I contact at Accenture to explain my situation and share the medical proof? Do you think there’s a chance to resolve this and reinstate my offer?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Contact HR directly and explain your situation. Provide all medical documents. They must reconsider.
