Trending @Accenture; RTO is not useful
What I've heard is that there are some influential groups involved - for instance, the PG association, whose head is actually our PG owner. Apparently, they collect contributions (chanda) that pass through middlemen (dalals), who in turn pay off certain officials connected to Tech Embassy Parks. This money flow supposedly creates an informal network, where even some HR and top company officials get a cut. In a way, this entire chain sustains the local PG economy and benefits a few landowners and businesses in the area.
On top of that, everyone around here seems to earn from us - hardly any local residents work corporate jobs in Bellandur. Most are running businesses that depend on the corporate crowd. My PG owner even mentioned that he personally contributed around ₹10 lakh to help set up the park.
So it makes you wonder - why are companies still pushing employees to return to the office? I can understand management or client-facing roles needing to be on-site, but for most of technical people no use at all...been going to office from 7 months...learnt nothing from office
Just crowd in cafeterias...

I guess you people never worked in any job before Covid, that is how it used to be, not just 5 days we have worked 6 days a week from office.
This pandemic has created a culture of WFH otherwise everyone used to do go to office only.
And don't come up with argument like work can be done remotely as well, as an experienced professional who has seen both office and WFH, I can say if everyone is coming to office and working together as a team has more benifits in terms of time and learning both, than an individual doing their own job remotely.

That’s so effed up if it’s true. I’m just so surprised that no one even cares about productivity anymore because mandate RTO is literally the worst enemy of productivity. If I have to travel to the office I barely get any work done so I have to choose a day with little to no work load which is SO RARE. It’s an endless cycle of misery.
