Trending @Accenture; Retention process in Accenture

How does the retention process work in Accenture, is anybody retained by the manager? Can you share your experience, thanks in advance!

Accenture retains if you have an offer with 30-40% hike. If you have an offer over this range, there are very less chances that Accenture would match your new offer. I have seen both the cases, the one with offer of 40% hike was retained but the other with 60% wasn't retained even though the person was one of the best in terms of knowledge and work quality.

If they try to retain the emp just want to know if they have authority to amend compensation in Mar if employee is not getting promoted, only hike or need to wait till next cycle ?

So retain means, the revised compensation will be applied immediately from the retained month?

It will not be immediate. It could be in March but this is something you have to decide if you can wait till March. Also I have been seeing cases where the manger promises but doesn't keep to his word, so depends on your relationship with him and is he trustworthy.

Update - Nothing happened, they (HR) dragged till the last day and said they can't match it. And today is my last day here. I even shared the letter after being asked twice by HR.

Retention is manager's call, they decide who stays. My manager retained me, no issues. 💪

Ok, today my DU lead discussed this with me and said he will try for salary revision or Agile promotion and as per his recommendation I sent him an email for the same. So, what will happen next? Will he talk to HR, is so from when it will be applicable?
