Hi, just wanted to check if we have any process that can claim to make us work for beyond 90 days? I want to resign but got to know from a friend that if a project has high dependency on you , you can’t exit. You need to exit based on management approval? Some cases you might need to serve for 4-6 months of np also? Is this true? For release I can understand but for resignation also do we have this process?
I recently exited Accenture in Apr, after my resignation and was hard locked to a project till July. I was the lone person in the project and was dealing with the client directly. I had to serve the full 90 day notice period as I could not secure an early release and our team needed some time to get my replacement and get him approved by the client. You cannot be held back for more than 90 days, from the day you put your resignation email, no matter what. Hope that helps.

I literally got this response when I requested for release, they mentioned that they can’t release me as their have dependency and also Accenture has invested on few training early this year, so leave me that easily.I am unable to handle this mental stress, I was frustrated and mentioned that I will put papers it they can’t release, for which I got a response saying that’s not possible. I need to drop an email to my manager then they will check the project dependency and approve my resignation and only then I can exit in the tool. This whole process takes 1-2 months and then 90 days np. In total making it 5-6 months. I was in a shock and just requested to release and thinking whether to put papers or not
Why just 6 months. They can also make you sign lifetime enslavement agreement.
