Guys I'm currently serving notice period and my project team is unaware of it, since my people lead is not part of my project. Should I tell them now ? Whose responsibility is it to inform them, me or my people lead ?

@Chimu @KeepingItCool @LastMeow @VisibleSmog2 When I asked my people lead that whether I should inform my project team lead/ scrum master about my notice period, she told not to tell them. And here my team lead is creating lots of dependencies on me, including making me her backup just the week before my LWD. I am confused now. What should be done from my end ? Should I just sit out and not inform my team just like my people lead instructed?
Ask your people lead why she is saying not to inform to understand her perspective. Make sure it should be in a casual way because you are curious. Make your decision accordingly. I dont understand whats the point of hiding and getting you in a bad spotlight to your team lead
Why would she make you her backup is she dumb? You are leaving so ideal people remove their dependence from you
Keep quiet and let it all be done after week they can sort all this out
Your resignation is approved right then no worries
Don’t think about project if they are still not thinking about you

I would suggest you to inform otherwise you'd have problems too with the KT and stuff, they would push. For US based clients their notice period is 2 weeks, not everywhere but mostly, so depending upon the time you have from LWD, i would suggest you inform your project lead.

You should inform manager if you wish to cone back again in future. If you dont wish to come back to Accenture, Eat popcorn and see the project burn 😂😂
You can wait for sometime or ask your lead to inform the project team, or else you can inform them yourself when it's last 1 month remaining.
Manager should have idea on this as people leads should inform them as well. But you can keep your manager informed that you are on notice period whoever is lead position in your project. And those guys would take up to inform team when time comes
