Could you guys please tell? Who gives promotion People lead or our Du lead?Also my people lead is on leave till September then who will release my statement?
There are two broad category of promotion cycle
- Annual Cycle
- Agile cycle
Now we all know annua cycle is shifted to June, in Annual cycle larger discussion happens and lot of comparison
In Agile Cycle whixh happens every quarter HR given budget to MD which get cascaded to team, and generally Manager asks for nomination from team, if there are more nomination than budget then comparative discussion happens else nomination directly goes to HR, and HR confirms and end of quarter, sometime based on company and market situation, despite asking nomination, no promotion happen in Agile cycle
In case you want to ask whom should you impress then answer is starting from L9 to L7.
If not your people lead, then your manager. In my case, my people lead is also on leave and my manager released the statement for me.
