Trending @Accenture; Regarding Roll-off

Hello, I joined Accenture last year as an Associate and was allocated to Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud project as a Mobile App Developer.

It's been 5 months now and I want a roll off for the below mentioned reasons.

  1. It's a very niche technology and difficult for me to get a switch based on this technology.
  2. The documentation is very poor. Everything is achieved via copying existing functionality or trial and error basis.
  3. I'm interested in Core development. Was trained in Java Full Stack. Was told that React was going to be used in the project only to realise that it's just that the code (XML,JS,SQL) gets converted to React during runtime.

It's not aligned with my future goals and also the work pressure is disturbing my physical and mental health as the deadlines are very strict with no resources to refer to. I want to ask for a roll off. I've cleared my TechLeap and I'm aware that it might affect my Fast Track Promotion but I'm fine with that.

I want to know if the leads can withhold my roll-off? Is there any way that I can get a roll-off without any hassle?

As far as I know, you need to stay in the project for minimum 1yr to get release as per your request. There is a way to get release but only when some other project requires you. I'd suggest to speak with your supervisor and get your primary skill updated to java or something related to it and approach POC on internal jobs portal. But first discuss with your supervisor regarding this. Good luck.
