Is PIP happening in Accenture very frequently nowadays? How does PIP work or for how long does it lasts? Also, if someone has only a month to serve in current project and will be joining a new project from new domain/technology the next month, does he/she also stand a chance of PIP from current project?

If your manager thinks tou have not performed well in project he / she can put you in PIP. It is not necessary that it would be your current project. If you have changed projects in this year then the project in which you spent more time will decide your performance outcome. You will know in December. If you get PIP you will not get any hike or variable bonus. After that HR will connect with you and inform about PIP. You will be assigned some tasks to learn and improve your performance apart from your regular project work. If you are working for a different project (for example Project A has given you PIP but you are working in project B) then there are high chances that your manager will clear your PIP but if you are working in same project and your relation with your supervisor is not good he will not clear your PIP. In this case at end of January or in middle of January HR will contact you and ask you to resign, in this case they will offer you 3 months notice period. Hope this clarifies PIP process. I'm still not able to get it how come based on Project A someone can put you in PIP even though you are not working for Project A. Ideally your current project should evaluate and take the final decision whether to put you in PIP or not. It clearly shows the misuse of Power.

Also I'm seeing many people who got release from their past project but now in PIP. If someone volunteerily asked roll off whether he/she will ended up in PIP ?

I’m currently in pip bcz i am leaving organization. It usually happens when u leave projects

How can a manager or talent lead justify this case to leadership by putting the people who are leaving the organisation in PIP. By the time they get to tag in the tool , people would have already left the organisation right.

Same thing happened with me, I am currently serving my notice period and my manager and supervisor put me in the PIP after the resignation.

PIP is common now. It usually lasts a few months. Even if you're switching projects, you can still be put on PIP. It's a tough situation.

Is there a time of year to put people on pip or they can put you on pip anytym of the year in accenture? I have voluntary asked for a roll off from my current project and got also..i am a new joiner here in probation.

Performance Improvement Plan(PIP) will be initiated when u don't maintain the enough threshold interms of KRA or out focused on metrics in a recurring way
Duration will be 4-8weeka
