Trending @Accenture; Regarding contractor employee

When I was a contractor my process began in 1 year 2nd month and I was a full time employee but now when I see for some of my team mates who joined as contractors it's been above one year 3-4 months and still they have been told contractor to FTE process is on hold I've even heard that most of them will be laid off and Accenture is not planning to entertain contractors is it true or what is the exact plan behind this
