Can anyone tell if a recession is about to happen in May or June? We heard no hikes or promos but what about recession and layoffs?

Listing this from last 1.5 years about recession, and due to that most of peoples are not switching and not even getting hike or promotions...its like endless cycle.

Layoffs are happening from long back, for the people in the project they will assign it to PIP and using that reason they will fire them. It happened for one of my colleague who is a very good resource.
