I’ve been working in the same organization since I started my career. Gained exposure to SIEM monitoring, incident analysis, and basic network security.
Now I’m planning my next move after completing 2 years. Is my current pay fair for my experience level, or should I target higher roles/switch after 2 years? What would be a good next step to grow certification or switching company?
I would suggest you to switch after 2 years and also aim for easy certs for now.
I wanted to switch after 2 years but stayed back to complete a difficult cert, it took me more time than expected, now I'm completing 4.5 years and also cleared that cert.
For SOC what I have observed is you get paid based on your experience levels, so keep switching and aim for a difficult cert later on when it actually matters.
I believe they asked more about different tools
