Trending @Accenture; Rate my salary as Infy PCon after Associate Manager in Accenture
13.4 YoE - male - skillset- multiple in SAP BI (SAC both reporting and planning, BW, CDS view dev i.e. embedded analytics, Previously was SAP Business objects SME (so WEBI, universe design, xcelsius, design studio, lumira designer, admin etc.) and learning datasphere now.
Current CTC - 43 LPA (Infosys Principal Consultant - Fixed 80% i.e. 34.4 LPA {includes Grauity}, Var 20% i.e. 8.6 LPA). I heard Infy pays 50-60% variable. So effective CTC 33.5 (Fixed without Gratutiy)+4.5 LPA (Variable) = 38 LPA.
In my previous Organisation Accenture I was Associate Manager (29.7 Fixed+10% variable) ~ 33 LPA (effective CTC)
They told for 10% retention bonus but I didn’t agree as it was not written and offered verbally (so if you put down your paper, then you will come to know how much they offered after appraisal process).
So please tell me if I took right decision and is this salary okay as per my experience and skill set?

In Accenture after retention there will be high chances that upcoming appraisals will be bad..like they will adjust the current hike which was given...and also other things like you will be on radar that you already had thought of moving out...so backup and other things will start...etc... Usually retention should be treated as an org process and here indian managers I seen they keep this remark till you move out, personally you will see all kinds of his skills post retention..

This is the fear I had. And when I asked for the promotion, they sinply told me it all depends on the slots - so they can’t promise anything.

Good choice congratulations

Damn man, congrats.
Ofcourse! it was a right choice, nothing should be taken granted verbally
