Trending @Accenture; Raise Exception
Anyone from HR or Managerial position can tell, do we raise WFH exception for a week or so for taking break due to mental breakdowns ? Do we need to provide documents for that as well? What is the procedure?

If it's for a week, go ahead inform your PL it's shouldn't be an issue.

Actually I am planning now bcz I asked my Manager and HR for WFH for Diwali week but they won't approved it bcuz of 1 day a week policy. I live in different state it takes around 24 hrs to visit my hometown. Now I am mentally brokedown bcuz no one is here and now I can't handle it anymore. I just don't want to be non-compliant so I stayed. I'm planning for atleast 2 weeks

Raise exception, on the tool. Ideally they shouldn't disallow you it's sad to hear this, 1-2 week is fine we allow it to everyone so that they get refreshed.

Week 1 - go to office in monday and then on Tuesday take leave and go to hometown. Week 2 - return to base location by thrusday and go to office on Friday.

You spoke my words.. I had the same reply. Hope the associate doesn't have a mandatory office day in mid week...

How about maternity cases any idea anyone how long before they can get WFH?

One of my colleague took leave from 1st of December, I think you need to inform 2 month prior (or 1 month)to your manager and client as well. They will let you know the process, I think for 6 month you can take maternity ( according to Indian Law) . So she took that and got approved. Might you need to provide supportive documents as well.

I am on maternity leave currently which is of 6 months and fully paid. Regarding WFH before that, it was approved for me for third trimester. In the tool, there is an option for expecting mother's. But before raising exception, please inform your PL and HR about the upcoming maternity leaves, so exception request is not sudden shock to them. Again, about the exception request, I raised it in March so please check out for any changes in exception tool.

It will be rejected by HR. You will need strong documentation to support any exception.

That the reason only, for our own health we need to provide lots of documents to prove we need break, after that also they expect us to be available while you were on leave. I would have applied for leaves before If I knew that they won't provide WFH but now there are client priority stories so I can't do that now. Really Accenture HR are worst.

Correct mine get rejected even applied with doctor certificate of rest

By the time exception will get approved by seeing lengthy processes your mental health will be automatically all right.
