Trending @Accenture; Quit Accenture and go for a career in video editing? Need advice

So it's almost 1 year since I've been working here. I wanted at least some WLB as I also have some health issues. Since past dew months, I am able to feel my health slowly deteriorating, I have become way more toxic on my family members due to extreme work pressure, and there is no appreciation here whatsoever for breaking my neck & back, working with compromised vision till 1-2 AM, no culture here as well where people get together and engage in social activities, just slogging at work 24/5 Mon-Fri.

I haven't been able to do anything ever since I joined this company -- no meaningful trips, no music, no gaming nothing!!! Now I have this strange physical pressure in my head almost all the time, last week also I had a very disturbing headache for 2 days due to working late night for 4 days, and lack of sleep. My project hasn't ever reached the Production phase yet. If this is my condition in the Mock phase, it scares me to think what it will be like during Production as that is the most hectic and intensive phase of the project lifecycle.

Keeping my physical/mental health and my quality of life in mind, I am thinking of quitting Accenture and pursue a course followed by a career in video editing instead, which is something I wanted to get my hands on since the college days. Do you think if I am making a sensible decision here?

My view... consider 1 year experience I assume you had just started your career as a data engineer.

There are really good companies out there providing work life balance I would enhance your skills and move into a good company where you can focus on career and ambitions as a side gig...once your confidential in thireving in video editing you may drop from your job and pursue this career. Any career it requires sometime to understand growth and other challenges choose your decision and proceed. For mental health don't overthink and try to learn to say no for additional hours also production and product life cycle is never ending....post your login hours don't think and divert your mind or doing gym or musics which can help you relieve stress...etc

Don't stretch yourself so much. Loop whoever is necessary in email and tell them you're having health issues and won't be available from 7pm as you got to visit doctor(even if you don't). Worse case, get roll off and sit on bench till you get a better project. Plainly refuse to work such long hours even if your colleagues do so

I would recommend join TCS and then do what ever you want as second profession

I won't suggest you to leave the job you might think the pay is less for the amount of effort you are putting but stay strong man put this effort in your upskilling rather than in the project stay till 1 2 am but not for project but upskill your self and switch it man probably you will get a good salary hike when you reach 2 YOE worst case scenario is 30 percent and much more depends on how you play it.

Because going into video editing having a base will be tough for you and if you are sure you are ready to put your heart into it and you are good with not earning anything in start for 6 7 months and if things go south in 1 year you will come back and start it again then maybe you can try.

But still I suggest creating a base first in editing by working less in a project and more on video editing while staying in job once you have the base then go full fledged press that W

Maybe try finding a remote job to switch and then see if you can do video editing as a side job, if you already have legit work experience in video editing and you know you will get paid well, go for video editing
