Trending @Accenture; Question for L9 and Above

I've been dividing my Salary into Basic, Personal and Others but have not seen any visible benefits except when I want to keep PF low or HRA low. However, now that I'm using New tax regime, the usage of this doesn't make much sense to me. Any advice? I'm thinking of making most of my salary basic so as not to lose out on max gratuity when I leave

If you are not entirely dependent on salary, better go with more basic. ⬆️ basic = ⬆️ PF —> more savings ofc Also, we cant decrease the basic next year, its only incrementing or stay as it is.

Does the employers share also get reduced from the Basic?

Unfortunately - Yes.. Btw, its not FROM basic , it will be calculated based on the basic salary
