I joined in March 2024 and didn’t claim any reimbursement until June 2024. From June 2024 onwards, I’ve been regularly claiming it.

I know the annual limit is ₹12,000, but how is the "annual" period calculated?

1. Is it from my joining month (March) to the following March? If so, is the amount unchanged for the months I didn’t claim?
2. Is it based on the financial year (September to August)? If so, has my limit reset in September?
3. Is it from January to December? If so, has my limit reset in January?
