My offer letter's salary increase is based on my current compensation. My manager has confirmed my expected promotion in the June 2025 cycle. The new company's HR representative indicated that a formal promotion confirmation letter would allow them to reconsider my compensation and that they anticipate a 90-day notice period.

Has the promotion process already begun? Will serving my notice period affect my promotion, or will I receive the promotion letter regardless?

In case you want to get a further hike on your new offer then I will suggest you to wait for a week or 10 days. In coming weeks, people lead will reveal the promotions and hike. And yes, In case you resign and your letter isn't revelaed they can revoke your promotion and give it to someone else in the team.
